  • Big deposits are usually a red flag. It's common for moving companies to ask for a nominal deposit. But, there are companies which request a large deposit, citing reasons for this and that. Reputable movers don't typically charge a big deposit because they want to secure the business.
  • Know which insurance policies cover what. Moving companies offer basic liability coverage with their services, but in most instances, it is simply insufficient.
