The Encanto is a Neighborhood Series plan at Arizona Traditions in Surprise: 1 bedroom plus a den, 2 baths, and 1,105 square feet with a two car garage. It is plan 9022 on the original builder sheets. A second bedroom in place of the den was a builder option.

The Encanto puts the kitchen and dining area at the front of the home, and the builder sheet points out that the window over the kitchen sink faces the front yard. The main living space, which the sheet labels an Arizona Room, is at the back and opens to the covered patio. The primary bedroom is beside it at the back with a walk-in closet and its own bath. The den is at the front, next to a workshop and golf cart space off the garage.

The front kitchen is the thing to decide on with this plan. Some buyers like seeing the street and who is at the door while they are at the sink. Others want the kitchen to look out to the patio, and the Encanto will not give them that. The builder also offered a fireplace with media center, a hobby room, an extended laundry, and a side entry garage, which changes the driveway and how the home looks from the street. Arizona Traditions is built out, so you are buying a resale, and two Encantos can be quite different homes. I would rather you walk one before you decide how you feel about the layout.

To compare, look at the Orangewood at 1,052 square feet, which keeps the kitchen at the back, and the Arcadia at 1,283 square feet if you want a larger primary bedroom and laundry room.
