The Idylwilde is a Neighborhood Series plan at Arizona Traditions in Surprise: 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and 1,439 square feet with a two car garage. It is plan 9025 on the original builder sheets. Unlike several plans near this size, both bedrooms are standard and there is no den to convert.

This plan gives you two separate sitting areas. A living room runs along the front of the home, and an Arizona Room sits at the back next to the kitchen and breakfast area, opening to the covered patio. The primary bedroom is at the back corner, and the builder sheet calls it oversized and notes two closets. The second bedroom and its bath are in the middle of the home on the garage side. Near the entry there is a small interior workshop room, which the builder also offered finished as a library or a hobby room.

That workshop room is the part of this plan people use differently. It can be an office, a craft room, or plain storage, so look at how the current owner finished it and whether that matches what you need. The builder also offered a fireplace with media center and a side entry garage. Arizona Traditions is built out, so the Idylwilde is a resale, and the lot, the condition, and the updates will tell you more about value than the plan name will. That is what I sort through with clients before we write an offer.

If you are weighing the Idylwilde against other plans, look at the Kenilworth at 1,424 square feet, which is nearly the same size but drawn as one bedroom plus a den, and the Saguaro at 1,515 square feet, which adds a library.
