The Ingleside is a Resort Series plan at Arizona Traditions in Surprise: 2 bedrooms plus a den, 2 baths, and 1,829 square feet with a two car garage. It is plan 9133 on the original builder sheets. A third bedroom in place of the den was a builder option.

The covered patio is the feature to notice. It is set into the back of the home between the primary suite and the Arizona Room, so it has walls on three sides, and the builder sheet calls it a protected patio. The living and dining room opens onto it. The kitchen has an island and a breakfast area and is open to the Arizona Room. The primary bedroom is along one side toward the back, the second bedroom is at the front on the same side, and the den is near the entry. There is a workshop and golf cart space off the garage.

A recessed patio gets more shade and less wind than one that sits out past the house, which matters for how many months of the year you will use it. The tradeoff is that it takes up space the interior could have had, and the view from it is narrower. The builder also offered a powder room, a fireplace, and a double door entry. Arizona Traditions is built out, so the Ingleside is a resale, and the options the first owner chose will differ from home to home. That is the part I walk clients through before they get attached to one.
