The Westward Ho is a Resort Series plan at Arizona Traditions in Surprise: 2 bedrooms plus a den, 2 baths, and 1,728 square feet with a two car garage. It is plan 9132 on the original builder sheets. A third bedroom in place of the den was a builder option.

The Westward Ho gives you two living areas. A long living and dining room runs along the front of the home with a bay window facing the street. At the back, the kitchen and breakfast area open to an Arizona Room, which leads to the covered patio. The primary bedroom is at the back corner with its bath and walk-in closet. The second bedroom and second bath are in the middle of the home, and the den is near the entry. Off the garage there is a workshop and golf cart space.

This plan suits buyers who want a quieter front room separate from where the television is. If you know you would never use a formal living room, you are paying for square footage you will walk past. The builder offered a fireplace in the Arizona Room, a hobby room in place of the workshop space, and patio extensions. Arizona Traditions is built out, so this is a resale purchase, and my job is to help you see both the positives and the potential concerns in the specific home before you commit.

The Ingleside at 1,829 square feet is a similar idea with a kitchen island and a recessed patio. If you would rather have one great room, look at the Jokake at 1,699 square feet.
